An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly organised publicist to join our busy publicity department to work across all of our prestigious imprints. You will be responsible for planning and implementing far-reaching publicity campaigns, brand development of major authors such as Joseph Delaney and John Boyne, securing coverage for allocated titles in the press, broadcast and online, developing relationships with authors, agents, bloggers and key media contacts, leading publicity of the licensing portfolio, organising and attending author events, tours and festivals. You will also be responsible for circulating weekly publicity bulletins, blogging, tweeting and creating word-of-mouth buzz and excitement about the list both on and offline.
You will have previous experience of working in a press office or a publicity department, prior media experience, some experience of setting up publicity campaigns including events and tours independently and passion for children’s books. You will also be super organised, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, IT literacy including an understanding of digital publicity and a real flair for copywriting. Enthusiasm, ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get involved are essential.
