Location:Waterstones, Covent Garden
This event is in the past.
The Children's Book Circle would love you to join us at our annual fiction panel event, discussing the importance of mental health in Children's fiction.
Mental health is becoming more of a popular subject to be discussed in our day-to-day lives but is still largely considered a taboo subject. If the adults can't talk about it how are we to educate our children and youth to talk about it?
This panel will be discussing how mental health is portrayed, featured and handled within Children's literature. Should we be featuring it more? How can we get books that tackle mental health issues discussed and promoted more? Should publishers be activily seeking new voices in the area? Or do they need to tread carefully around the subject? We're really happy to announce our panellists as well! We will be in discussion with the amazing Holly Bourne, Tom Pollockand Tamsyn Murray, chaired by the amazing Sara Barnard!
Please come and put some questions to our talented panel over a glass of wine, we'd love to see you there!
